I have a big spreadsheet with several sheets of data. My charts are on a dashboard sheet and I want to be able to filter the charts without going back to the sheet with my source data. How do I do this?
You can easily add slicers to charts in Row Zero by adding a slicer to the source data for the chart. Navigate to the source data, apply filters (if not already applied), and then go to Insert, Slicers in the navigation. Select the columns you’d liked to create a slicer for and click ‘Apply’. A slicer is created for each column selected.
You can then cut and paste your slicers onto your sheet next to your charts, so you can easily filter your charts with slicers.
Note that you can add slicers without pivot tables in Row Zero, so you can easily add slicers to any chart. Here’s more info about how to add slicers to charts.
