Pivot table count unique values

Can I use a pivot table to count unique values automatically in a spreadsheet that updates with new data? I have a connected spreadsheet of customer data that updates daily, and I want to count unique customers by month with a pivot table.

Row Zero pivot tables have a built-in count unique calculation that you can apply to any field that you use as Values in the pivot table. Row Zero pivot tables are dynamic and automatically update as source data changes. So as new data updates in your connected spreadsheet, the pivot table automatically counts unique values with the new data. To count unique customers by month, pull your date/time field to Rows in the pivot table and select “Month” as your pivot table date grouping and then pull your unique customer identifier to Values and select “Count Unique” as the calculation.
