I need to share a spreadsheet with a few people but I want to make sure they don’t create copies of it, download it, or share it with anyone else. How do I do that?
You can set who can share and copy spreadsheets on a per workbook basis by clicking the blue ‘Share’ button in the top-right corner of the spreadsheet and then clicking the cog icon to adjust sharing options.
Here you can set who can share and copy the spreadsheet.
Select ‘Owner only’ if you want to be able to restrict copies and/or restrict further sharing.
Enterprise accounts can also set global sharing and export options across all workbooks in their workspace. You can choose to restrict external sharing and restrict data export so that spreadsheets cannot be downloaded at all by anyone.
