I have a big spreadsheet that I’ve cleaned in Row Zero, but need to get back to Google Sheets to share with a client that is on Google Sheets. I tried importing a big CSV of the data into Google Sheets but the CSV fails to import and I get a warning that says “Too large to import. Remove rows or columns and try again”. What is the Google Sheets limit for rows and columns?
Google Sheets has a 10 million cell limit. So in theory, the maximum number of rows in Google sheets is 10 million if you only had one column, but that’s not realistic in most cases. If you have 10 columns then its 1 million rows. The 10 million cell limit is for the whole spreadsheet. So if you have 10 sheets of data, every cell used in those sheets contributes towards the 10 million cell limit. Here’s more info on Google Sheets limits.
